Site access
Good site access for 2 trucks to drill the bore, flat if possible.
We choose close to power, to keep the cost down for the client if possible. I.e. Side of the drive way, side of the garage, in the driveway with man hole cover. In a garden area. Farm bores are often close to the cow shed.
Please remember to always have access to the bore in the future, for pump servicing.
Bores today do not need a shed over them; most have the submersible pumps down within the bore.
Quoting of Water Bores.
Bore costs are for Resource Consent, Drilling, Equipment, Labour, drilling materials, casing, screens. Developing ready for instalment of the pump. We will give you a quotation for the drilling of a bore, not an estimate cost. Whether we are there for 2 days or 2 weeks.
All Water bores require having a Resource Consent from your Regional council to drill a bore. We take care of the consent. A one off cost for a domestic bore. Time to get the bore consent is within 10 working days.
New Bore sites have to be 50- 100m away from your neighbour’s
bore if possible, or you will require the consent from your neighbour
if not.
Pumping of your Water Bore
Most bores require to have a submersible pumps installed.
They are today the best set up by pumping into a water holding tank, then a booster pump to household, and property or irrigation, if gravity is not able to be achieved.
Submersible pumps do not like to be turned on and off like a tap, they like a continued run.
Disposal of drill waste
There is a limited amount of drill waste or cuttings. Controlled by us in a silt control pit, to be disposed of in the appropriate manner, to the side of a garden, edge of bank, or carted away depending on job sites.

Diviners
From a driller’s point of view, we don’t believe in divining to the depths for drilling a water bore. Diviners can only divine shallow.
We go on the Geology of the area, and our experience of within your drilling within your area, for engineering the construction of each bore is done on an intervigel basis
